Lent Midweek

Wednesdays at 6pm

Pr Joanne Engquist often refers to Lent as a “springtime for the soul.” Although more people maybe associate Lent with 40 days of “giving up” some treasure like chocolate or some habit we’d like to break, the season is really meant as a time of renewal and refreshment. It is about stirring up new life, as with tender roots in a garden.

With that in mind, midweek gatherings during Lent will make space for reflective, quiet time in community (for about 30 minutes beginning at 6pm coloring sheets and pencils will be available while preparations are finished for the shared, simple meal). After conversation over dinner, we’ll share Holden Evening Prayer at 7:15pm.
